  • almond flour?

I have been reading a few recipes and have noticed many people use almond flour.

Where can i get this? I have never heard of it.

    How does it taste?

My friend sent me some, I think she gets it online. It has a nutty flavor, and you can grind your own also. (Pretty expensive)

      Hi

You can usually get almond flour (basically ground almonds) at the supermarkets or health food shops, or even better invest in a small coffee grinder and make your own - Just put the almonds into it and girnd away until you get a gritty powder - don't grind too much or you'll make almond butter (well.......thats yummy too!)

The flavour is quite subtle, with a hint of nuttiness (and depending on what you use it for, that flavour sometimes goes away completely) - it's great to use for breading, crakers and in baking.

      Hope this helps, enjoy!

Almond flour is a great substitute for flour. It does have a very slightly nutty flavour, but is bland enough to take the place of flour in lots of recipes. If you grind your own, make sure you grind the peeled unroasted sort.
