  • Freezing leftover Thanksgiving Cheesecake

Does anyone know how well cheesecake (made with Splenda of course) will freeze? ensive

I have about 8 pieces left over from Thanksgiving and would like to cut into pieces and freeze to eat over the next couple of months.

I'm assuming the flavor will be retained, but will it become so crumbly that it won't be worth eating?

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have to share.

I've nevver frozen cheesecake in particular. But I have frozen other cakes and breads.

Here's a couple of links about freezing cheesecake. I don't think the substitution of Splenda for sugar will have much of an effect. It's really in how you defrost the frozen item.

Here's a couple of links on freezing cheesecake.

The last link says that the fat content of the cream cheese is really the determining factor on how well the cheesecake will freeze.

Thanks Megs for the links. :wave (I usually check these kinds of things out on the Web first, but didn't think to this time.)

you can freeze cheesecake but it starts to deteriorate after a month in the freezer just wrap it up in plastic wrap and freeze thaw in the frig...I myself can not imagine having that much left over!!! Wow you are good!
