Sure! Broccoli would seem best to me! I usd to love Velveeta or Cheez Whiz on broccoli, so I could only imagine that a real cheese would be better!

yes veggies are perfect but I think they are better if you blanch them to a crisp tender ...instead of raw ....it compliments the cheese better.... red bell peppers, cauliflower, diakon radish..hmmm regular radishes....celery.....mushrooms....snow peas...fennel....you could take the entire induction veggie list and pick and choose off there ...
you could do some lean roasted cooled meat cut into bite sized pieces that woudl be great in the cheese sauce too!!! chicken, pork loin or tender beef....

I dont eat fish or seafood with cheese (I feel it hides the beauty of the fish!) but if you like it you could use some cooked shrimp or scallops or a nice piece of firm cooked fish...

how fun to eat fondue !!!!

LOL! I know, I know...I haven't used either of those products in years (since I've found the goodness of real, interesting cheeses).

I don't think I have ever met a cheese I did not like!!!!

it is such an amazing food!!! All over the world there are so many types to try..I believe (and not to hijack this thread or anything) but it is my obligation to try every single cheese I can before I die!!! there is something so amazing about what happens to milk when you give it a bit of culture ...kind of like people huh

I would even try the Whiz (my son's refer to going pee as taking a WHIZ!!!) if someone prepared it for me ..I am just not sure what the heck to do with it ..it is cheese in a jar on a shelf!!!! I bet it is good though people eat it all the time!!! ...I finally saw the Velveeta ..it is on a shelf too ..does it not go bad Higgies????

I make fondue with all types of cheeses ..but ementaller is my favorite (spelling )

It's barely cheese. It's processed and REALLY salty. I like it, but only as a spread or melted on broccli or something. It's not really a cheese though I don't think. It's the foundation for cheese steaks here in Philly!! LOL

We had raclette last night with raclette cheese from Switzerland (my DH just got back from a day business trip there) and steak and bacon on the top of the machine - it was gooooooooooooooooooooooooood!

I thought provolone was the foundation for a Philly cheese steak?

I prefer provolone...and a little mayo for some tanginess...but the major steak places here do either. Primarily it's whiz though....

One steak wit whiz! (philly accent)

I think mushrooms would taste good in cheese fondue. Are you able to get fondue oil? In Belgium we have fondue oil and dip cubes of steak, chicken, meatballs, etc into it(also mushrooms!). The meats(and mushrooms!) are wonderful dipped into garlic sauce(or any other "legal" sauce. Served with some salads! Perfect for having company and not needing to spend time in kitchen(most of the stuff you do before).

oh honey I am so sorry no one responded to you! here you go I just noticed this ..you can mix and match ingredients here to flavors you like
you do not need a fondue pot but you need something to keep the cheese warm and melted while you are dipping

                              Cheese Fondue
3 cups of grated gruyere or any meltable cheese you like
                              2 tbl butter
                              3 tbl cream
                              1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
                              1 tsp of worchestershire sauce
1/3 cup of dry white wine
I use a double boiler and whisk for this
heat butter and cream until melted together .. then add the cheese when melted slowly whisk in the rest of the ingredients put into a fondue pot and serve with veggies for dipping
