    Is curry powder atkins friendly?

    I really love curry, does anybody know if its atkins friendly

    Yup it is, but like all spices you must keep track of the carbs. Many people forget that spices do have carbs, though not a huge amount.


    here is the carb count that i found for curry powder:
    There are 6 calories in 1 teaspoon (0.1 oz) of Curry Powder. You'd need to walk 2 minutes to burn 6 calories. Visit CalorieKing to see calorie count and nutrient data for all portion sizes.

      I disagree with Jen on this and no I dont believe you have to count carbs in spices ..because it says right in the book clearly that you may use them for induction and no place does it say to count them! ..the amt of carbs in a spoon of curry per dish is not worth counting ...yes curry is legal as long as it has no fillers!!

        that count is variable anyway there are a million differing curry spice mixes so I would not say all curries have 3.2 carbs per tablespoon!
