  • Cheese Chips

I know these have got to be on recipe website but I just thought I would share ---- If easy is what you want -HELLO!!! (get your mind out of the gutter)

My family is snack happy in the evenings (you suppose that is why I need to lose 60 some pounds?)
So last night I made the gaucamole (from website), everyone else was diggin' the chip into the bowl and I just used a spoon. Needless to say - I was feeling left out, so off to the kitcen I went.
I took out my muffin pan and put about 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese in each spot. Baked them until they were bubbly. Let them cool and I had Cheese chips - they were so good.

    Just thought I would share.

these are great I agree you can add things to them like a pinch of sesame seeds or some chile powder or garlic powder ....I have even minced a jalepeno and added it to them

Oh, I never thought about doing them in muffin tins. Neato. Thanks!

That would make them take a nice shape...

Can't imagine the wild hair that caused you to add coconut in them - WOW!!! You were definately letting the creative juices flow that day. Just kidding you - sometimes the oddest thing combined seem to work best. Thanks for the advice though and I will definatetly keep the coconut away from the cheese chips!!!!

                  Re: Cheese Chips

Yeah... like sugar-free apricot jam and low-carb ketchup to make a sweet and sour sauce. I couldn't believe that one when I first heard of it.

                  It works though.

                      Re: Cheese Chips

I like to mix up the shredded cheese with a lot of ground pepper. Mummm! I need a lot of water with this snack though. To make mine I take an oven tray and line it with baking paper and put the cheese in little one inch piles. YUM YUM! It is the best with decent parm cheese.

                          Re: Cheese Chips

The "recipe" for the parm and pepper "chips" actually came from a Belgian weight watchers cookbook. Of course you can have more of these chips on Atkins. With weight watchers this kind of recipe just teases you because you want more then what your points will allow!
