  • IS THIS RIGHT?

Hello, i found this at another low carb site but it seems like the carb count is really low for all of this advice- please what do u all think?

    Chocolate Praline Bar

1 ounce unsweetened baking chocolate -- or semisweet
    2 ounces Unsalted Butter
    4 tablespoons Peanut Butter
1 tablespoon heavy cream -- to taste, optional
Splenda to taste (optional if using semisweetened)
4 ounces nuts -- ground or finely chopped in grinder

Melt chocolate in Microwave and stir, add butter and PB, melt ans stir to combine. Heat only util just melted. Add cream and Splenda if using. Grind nuts and stir in.

Spread into large thin slab on baking paper on a tray and freeze for a couple of hours. Cut into small squares and store in bag or box.. I get at least 40 squares less than 0.5g each ! They are very rich so I just find 1 or 2 a night are enough to satisfy my sweet craving. I eat them straight from the freezer, they keep their ?crisp? that way.

Well, it doesn't say if that is susposed to be for one serving or the whole recipe?! If that is susposed to be for the whole recipe then I would say it was way wrong! I'm looking at a jar of low carb peanut butter and after subtracting the fiber carbs 4 tablespoons of it would be 6 carbs all by itself! No to mention the carbs from the chocolate, cream, splenda and nuts which all have carbs--you'd have to input all that stuff into fitday and add it up and then divide the total carbs by the # of servings that you are cutting it into to get the correct carb count!

somebodies math is off if you have 40 and it is .5 each then it has to have 20 carbs in the total
I'd run it through recipecal.com the free online recipe calculator site and see what I came up with. if they are using 0carb liquid splenda then it would only have pb carbs, cocoapowder in the unsweetened chocolate, 4 ounces of nuts, and the cream as carb sources

that sounds like a trigger food no matter how you look at it ...no way would I try it if I was still working my way up the steps!...if you can eat a tiny bit I can see it being ok..but I couldn't ...well with the Splenda I wouldn't but even so peanut butter and chocolate has red flag all over it for me!!!.... :nono maybe a year from now ..but not now!!!
