    I am a DIP

    LOVER!!!

and forever looking for new dip recipes ...got any?

here is a wonderful one for lunch time ..in fact it will be my lunch today ..on salad ..I add more olive oil and use it as a dressing as well

    enjoy

please post your favorite dip recipe

dips are wonderful, interactive and portable food!

    Roasted pepper dip/dressing
roast and peel 3 giant red bell peppers
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
    3 cloves of peeled garlic
1 1/2 cups of feta cheese
1 tsp of fine ground fresh cracked pepper
put this all in the food processor (or blender I guess would work) and puree until smooth ..chill well before serving

this is really wonderful tasting with any crispy veggies especially radishes I think

    Re: I am a DIP

Heidi, this one is just for you. And it's so easy you won't even believe it.

    Throw into a food processor.

    6 ounces of bulgarian feta
    2 cloves of garlic
Enough good olive oil to make it smooth and creamy.

Or if you're cool like Heidi, smash garlic in your mortar and pestle and mash feta, olive oil and garlic in a bowl.

That's it! I serve it with sliced veggies, ie. red pepper, jicama, celery, cucumber slices, or whatever else you like. My non-atkins friends like it with crusty bread and whole grain crackers.

      Re: I am a DIP

I should have used the motar and pest for this one ..that is what is missing from the flavor ...the special intensity that goes into making it with your energy

thanks Phode OOOOXXXX I have never thought of that simple a feta dip...

Good God do I love me some Bulgarian feta!!! it surrounds your mouth ...mmmmmmmmm

Heidi, if you can get some Zahtar, that stuff is awesome with Bulgarian feta and olive oil. I always used to eat it with feta, but it would be great with veggies too.

I know I will regret saying this, but...

                ...

                ...

                I miss

                ...

                ...

                Detroit.

There wasn't anything I couldn't get when I lived there. It's nice living somewhere where there are other cultures and ethnicities!

But I hated everything else about Detroit.

Miss Phode, I know what you mean! I loved going to Detroit to eat/shop in Greektown...the availability of all ethnic foods there is amazing. Everything else kind of sucks.

where are all the DIPS around here anyway?

                        Alright already!

Roast a whole eggplant. Scoop out the flesh and add mashed garlic, olive oil and tahini for Baba Ganoush.

Roast a whole eggplant, and mash up the flesh with bulgarian feta, garlic, & olive oil.

Eat both of these with crunchy veggies.
