    Nut and Seed rung.

There are several commercial suppliers of almond flour/meal. Bob's Redmill and Honeyville are two.

Or you can make your own: grind blanched almonds in a food processor until powdery.

Thanks! Never thought about making it myself. I recently bought Xanthan Gum to make gravy. Is that available on induction or is that on another rung?

I never thought I would buy that, nevermind use it
Day 7 for me. I just want to get staples in the cabinet.

Re: Where do you buy almond flour at

I make my own almond flour in a coffee grinder, being careful not to OVER-grind the almonds. I don't want to end up with almond butter! My local grocery stores do NOT carry almond flour (I live in a smaller town) but the local health food store does carry Bob's Redmill brand.

My home-made flour suits my needs, but if I were making something special, like a cake, I'd probably buy the pre-ground stuff. It's much cheaper to make your own.

If you have a Trader Joe's close, they carry it. They have stevia and all sorts of low carb friendly things with reasonable prices.

Thanks for the tip about the almond butter. lol. That would have ruined the grinder.
I never thought about Trader Joes!

It's amazing how you can walk past items and not even think about trying them. Now being on Atkins, I get to cook myself more things and try out stuff I never thought about using.

            You guys rock!

xantham gum....I find the texture too slimy and gooey for my tastes. I prefer to make gravy by simmering some veggies like celery and onion in broth, then pureeing it in a blender until smoothe.
