  • Egg safety

    Hello,

I'm off to a conference and I know from previous experience that at lunchtimes they serve nothing but sandwiches and crisps. I am going to take lots of cheese, nuts, etc with me BUT my question is:

can you taken hard boiled eggs on a trip without putting them in the fridge and be ok to eat them? It is vaguely warm here, but not hot, so I thought it would be ok but I don't want to poison myself. Also a coolbag isn't an option as have to travel very light. They'd just be in a lunchbox.

    Any thoughts/ experience?

Baarb, yes that should be ok. Aslong as they are relatively fresh.

      Thanks Richt

Also I meant to say I am keeping them in the shell.

I'm going to get some weird looks, lol, cracking open an egg on a conference stand.

Yeah, but you know what? You'll have the knowledge at the end of the day, that you've HONORED your committment to yourself.

        Hoo-Rah for that.
