  • Ketchup

I was looking at the free tesco magazine today and came across an advert for ketchup that said it was no sugar. The brand was Herbert Felix and was manufactured by Procordia Foods. I've tried looking up the nutritional info on websites but unfortunately my swedish isn't all that good! I didn't recognize any words I've seen in Ikea!

I wondered if anyone else has heard of or tried this product.

    Re: Ketchup

I haven't used that brand, I do however use s/f ketchup, there is a generic brand here. It's wonderful to have ketchup again!

I searched around that site, and it appears that ketchup is sweetened with splenda. Per 100 g's is has

INGREDIENSERTomatpuré (80 %), ättika, stärkelse, salt, kryddor och sötningsmedel (sukralos).

    NÄRINGSVÄRDE
    Näringsvärde per 100 g
    Energi 180kJ-40kcal
    Protein 1,5 g
    Kolhydrat 9 g
    Fett 0,5 g

    I read this as:

    per 100g (that's 3.5 oz so it's quite a bit)

    180 cals
    1.5 g protein
    9g carbs
    .5 gs fat.

I would assume that "kryddor och sötningsmedel (sukralos)" is sucralose, or splenda.

    Hope this helps.
