    seed freshness

You know you can test to see if your seeds or spices are fresh by sprouting them?....I keep spices to make curries and a lot are whole seeds...so I will toss some in water over night then dump the water out and cover them with a damp cloth ...periodicly to check for freshness ..then toss them in cooking!....you can do the same with flax ..nothing worse than old seeds
