  • My mom wants to start the diet..

can some recommend me a basic menu for her? I ordered her the book today, but my mom has become so reliant on her two kids and my dad doing everything for her than I don't really know if she'll put effort into reading the book. I do know I believe she weighed herself and started crying, and I really want to help her. I've lost 90 pounds in the last year on the plan, but I didn't really follow any strict menu. She cooks, and we can get the ingredients for stuff..I just want suggestions for some sort of induction menu that will work for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    Starting Weight: 307-310
    Current Weight: 220
Short Term Goal Weight: 225 by May 1st (met)
Long Term Goal: 215 pounds by June 12th (almost there!)

Copy the Induction Acceptable Foods list and the Induction Rules from your book and give it to her.

That way, she will be able to look at the list and see what foods she likes and doesn't like. There's nothing more aggravating, imo, than to eat food you don't like or to follow a menu and find out later you could have had a certain food rather than have been stuck eating something else.
