  • Vegetables - Squash - collard greens

Ok, I didn't know where to add this. I want know about Marrow? Is it the same as summer squash? What about spaghetti squash and winter squash?

My grandma, used to grow some sort of squash in the summer, it was really nice, but have no idea what it was called or if it is the same as any of these in the UK, it had a lumpy surface.
The only other squash I know and like is butternut, all these others are new to me. Well, and of course courgettes.

1 more question, are collard greens ok for induction?

I also wanted to share with everyone this website I found today. Sorry if it has already been posted http://www.thinkvegetables.co.uk

Zucchini is the same as a courgette. A marrow is a close relative of the zucchini squash, so it is allowed during Induction.

This is a good site too:

Collard greens are one of the 54 vegetables allowed during the Induction phase.

butternut squash isn't allowed until the starchy vegetable rung during the ongoing weight loss phase. Most winter squash fall into this category.

Spaghetti squash is allowed during induction. So is zucchini and other summer squashes. I eat squash probably every other day. Yummy. Collard greens are an excellent choice too during induction.
