  • Eastern Mediterranean Pork Stew

I just posted this new recipe under "pork" on the recipe site. Found this stew in today's paper and I modified it for this WOE. I love pork shoulder roast...I can find it on sale at my local grocery stores (last time I picked up a roast for $0.49 a pound!!). It has a lot of marbling in the meat, so it cooks up sooooo tender!

This recipe calls for some unusual seasonings, I will have to go shopping to stock up on some of them before I try it. Let me know what you think if you make it at home. This Food Journalist who publishes it has incredible recipes, she has never steered me wrong!

Net carbs of 4 per serving!!! And it makes 10 servings...would freeze well if you like to stock up on dinners.

:yikes It goes on "sale" here for 79 cents a pound!

I like pork shoulders too. My grocery store will cut the meat to my specifications too as a free customer service (saves me from getting out the saw at home ).

Okay, so I made this stew last night...OMG, it is really good! It is also really different, which is heavenly as well as I get bored eating the (blah) chicken breast with the (blah) broccoli!! If you find the shoulder on sale, it is a great remedy to these FRIGID temperatures!
