  • Hey.....

I tried the mock danish recipie and I'm wondering if I did something wrong cause it was kinda gross.....it was like a sweetened scrambled egg.

The recipie I followed called for 2oz of cream cheese, 1 egg, half t. of vanilla and a packet of splenda, then 2 min. in the microwave.

Like I said...a sweet scrambled egg....ewww....is this what its supposed to be like? If not, what did I do wrong??

Hey my first one sucked too... so what you do, it you make it naughtier and eat it less. Make sure you melt the cheese properly first, add an egg (or even half a raw egg is you want) add a bit over a tsp of vanilla and add a sachet of splenda... then after, pull it out, put a big dollop of butter on it and sprinkle a little more splenda on top.

I think the mock danish is an acquired taste....Some people love it. Others think it's a gross sweet scrambled egg mess.

I think you have to "overcook" it in order to let it dry out a bit and be more 'bready'.

Guess I did it right then.....bleeech.

Are the "revolution rolls" similar?....if so I don't want to even try them!

I thought I was but I haven't lost anything in over 2 weeks! (probably because of my precious coffee )

I'll keep the flax muffin in mind!

                      Re: Hey.....

I am on OWL rung 4 and have been at the same weight and inches for about 3 weeks. I think it's the coffee and creamer and splenda. I'm going to cut out the coffee before I blame the cantaloupe and watermelons. If you are on the nut rung the flax muffin is awesome. I hate eggs and eggy textures, but this muffin doesn't have it. It's
                      1/4 cup of flax meal
                      1tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder and 1 pkt of splenda
mix in well in a coffee cup
                      stir in
                      a beaten egg
                      1 tsp vanilla (OPTIONAL)
                      1tsp cream (optional)
and about 1 or 2 tbsp of melted butter.

mix really well, put coffee cup in microwave and nuke 1 minute.
dump muffin out onto a paper towel and immediately fill the coffee cup with hot water.
cut muffin in half, slather with butter and yum. it tastes and feels like a bran muffin! I love it! But you have to be on the nut rung.

The revolution rolls are much better than the mock danish. In fact, you can make a faux danish (that tastes and looks like a real danish) with the recipe.

I used the revolution rolls as hamburger buns, sandwich rolls, pancakes, jellyrolls, etc.
