  • Usin protein Isolate in recipes on induction?

I am experimenting with a new protein isolate I have bought - 'pea protein isolate' - in cooking and wonder if I am correct in assuming that using 'protein isolate' is acceptable for induction and the lower OWL rungs?

My Dh is on OWL but not on the legume rung yet, so I am not sure whether to 'allow' him to eat this yet.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I'd have to try to search for it, but I know there is a post from 2big4mysize from a year or more ago. She said that as long as it is the isolate, it's acceptable for induction. I'll see if I can find the post for you.

Found it... it's in this thread.

"protein powders come in to forms high carb and low carb. high carb is for gaining low carb is for losing.it you get a protien isolate you can use it at any time. if you get a protein concentrate then you need to wait for the rung your protein is made up iof like soy is rung 6 legumes wheat and rice protein is rung 9, and whey is rung 2.

Just remember to count the carbs and keep the food in your ratio and you should be fine."
