Are my tastebuds looney or does flax have a fishy flavor?

To me it's more nutty...but it does have a slight gooey (not to say slimey, which sounds awful!) texture which might be thought of as fishy.Before and after:

It should be nutty--not fishy. Flax should be stored in the refrigerator so if you've done that and stuck it next to say---a fish---that could be what you're tasting.Status: Rockin' OWL
