Sorry to be a pain - but could somebody please tell me how many carbs are in ham. It is just sliced ham from the deli that is not packaged in anything. I tried to look on the Atkins site at the carb counter, but could not work out which type of ham applied to my situation.

    Cheers

you'd have to ask to see the labelling, everywhere adds different things in! some could have sugars for curings etc

As far as I know, it is just ham that they slice directly off the leg. I don't think it comes in any packaging.

Unfortunately ham can have anywhere from zero to 4 or 5 carbs per serving. It all depends on how much sugar they put in it. The only thing you can do is ask to see the label at the deli counter or just count a couple carbs per serving to be safe. I don't have any packaged ham on hand but I'm pretty sure that a serving is usually about an ounce.

Unless they actually cook it themselves it would be delivered to them in some sort of packaging so they should be able to let you see the label.
Sometimes I have had to get the name of the manufacturer and contact them to ask for the nutrition numbers.
Some companies are a bit secretive if you ask about ingredients as they think you are trying to steal their recipe, but eventually (when I tell them I need the info to be able to decide if I am able to eat it without getting ill from possible mystery ingredients I might be allergic to, or say 'I was under the impression that by law you have to supply that info if asked') they are helpful.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
