        Plantains are a fruit and allowed back in on the fruit rung.

        So, the answer is Yes at the appropriate time. As you've seen, they are quite high in carbohydrate as they are in the banana family.

            yummy,i love em fried!! just slice and fry em up. But u can also boil them too.

                The nutritional info may look scary now, but once you start to add back foods you may be surprised at what you can have. I'm in maintainance and my carbs usually range from 50-90 net per day without issu. I've added back almost all fruits, though was never a big banana eater so don't have them often.

                    I prefer them fried, cut into chunks, make sure you use enough oil or they will burn. I also enjoy eating them along with the spanish frying cheese called queso blanco tropicale (it's doesnt melt) and sunny side up eggs. Delicious but once in a while treat!
