I am looking for these and cant find induction friendly...I see a recipe or 2 here and there but no calories content...thanks!

In the past we have asked that folks who post recipes here include carb counts etc. But they have either not included them and we have found that certain ingredients have different carb counts depending on the carb counter you use. For example, frozen vegetables often have different carb counts on the labels than what is listed on the USDA or fitday websites. Therefore, many people do not take a carb count listed on a recipe at face value and re-calculate them according the to labels and to whatever carb counter they are using.
That's what I do. I have found carb count variations on many websites and books. So it's always in your best interest to re-calculate these figures rather than take them at face value.
As for labeling what is and isn't Induction friendly, some of us have tried to do that. But again, not everyone follows the rules posted at the top of the individual recipe forums---if you notice some of the recipe forums contain posts that have nothing to do with recipes but rather if something is okay for Induction or if something is okay to eat on Atkins.
The best advice I can give you is to have your copy of the Induction Acceptable Foods list handy when viewing ANY recipe and see if it is truly "Induction Friendly". Be aware that once you move to On-Going Weight Loss Phase and Pre-Maintenance, those "friendly" labels are useless because a recipe that includes oatmeal is "OWL friendly" but it's only "friendly" if you are on the Grains rung of OWL.

Don't know if you will like it, but I did and very induction friendly.
I took a 1 tsbp of butter in a saute pan, added a cup of sliced mushrooms, 8 oz of uncooked bay scallops and sprinkled on some crushed red pepper. I sauted for about 5 minutes (medium/high), then added two pieces of bacon (chopped up). Sauted for another minute and then sprinkled about a tbsp of Parmesan cheese.
Total carbs is 2.15 for the mushrooms and parmesan cheese 5.2 for the scallops for a total of 7.35g Carbs
Just thought I would share, in the past I have gotten in the rut of just eating the same thing for convenience sake, but this time I am trying to venture out more.Last edited by Bluebelt2007; November 3, 2007, 03:49 PM.
