Wheatbran is ok at any stage. I have used that before, in pancakes and liked it. But I have not read anything about oatbran, I can go check my book though...hold on.

I looked in my book and thought that was where I had seen it but can not find it now!....figures well I ate the pancake it was so much better texture and taste wise and it came out in fitday as 7 net carbs so I am thinking that is fine it was huge and I am stuffed!!!

Gotta check but I think oat bran is mentioned as a fiber supplement in Dr. ATkins Vitanutrient Solution.

It is relatively high in carbs---1 ounce raw has something like 18 or 20 total carbs with about 4 fiber grams.

I just checked nutrition labels and it is pretty high carb and not nearly as much fiber as wheat bran.

however, I say, I hope you enjoyed your pancake it certainly isn't going to "kill" your WOE!

thanks for checking I swear I saw it someplace!! anyway I only use a little under a tbl in the recipe so the whole recipe is pretty darn low in carbs..and it is a good water soluable fiber so I am going to use this bag up and not worry about it...life is to short to worry about oat bran!....wheat bran tastes like horse feed to me..that and flax are on my list of things I can live with out...kind of like you and tomatoes!!! I LOVE tomatoes!!!

oat fiber is what was in Nullo reciped and that is different as that is what used to be left on the milling floor as chaffe sp?
