Squash - how long are they good for?

How long do you think squash is good for? I have a gold nugget squash (looks like a little pumpkin) that I bought probably a month ago. I never did anything with it but i want to now. How long are those things good for? I've never cooked one before.

Liz if kept in a cool dry place squash stays good for months.
