  • Lynda's Jalapelo Poppers made better (I think)

I added 8 drops of stevia to the cream cheese that goes into the poppers. I loved them this way. I love hot with sweet!!! I also made my bacon first and then chopped it up into my own bacon bits with the pampered chef chopper thing (not messy at all this way). I baked the jalapenos with the cream cheese in them for about 15 minutes on 375 and then I took them out and put my homemade bacon bits on top and baked them for another 15 minutes. Me and my husband thought they were great! watch your cream cheese to make sure that it doesn't start to burn though because ovens vary on how fast these cook.

Just be sure to count those poppers as part of your 3 daily sweetener allowances and you'll be fine.

Frankly, I'm bone lazy when it comes to cooking certain things. So I whack the peppers in half lengthwise, put cream cheese into them, place on a microwave safe plate and nuke them until the cheese is melted and the peppers are soft.

Thank you, I will You could buy the already made real bacon bits and put those on top of your poppers once they come out of the microwave. This way you can still keep it just as simple but add some more flovor to them.

I am having a chicken salad for dinner tonight and an omlet and sausage for breakfast as usual. I am also going to try to drink 12oz of water every 2 hours today. I think that I am doing very well finally

you can also stuff them with crab meat and/or chives (mix in with the cream cheese)-- I also will add garlic to them sometimes

Re: Lynda's Jalapelo Poppers made better (I think)

I wrote my part of this post a while ago. I found out that the already made bacon bits have bad ingredients in them so don't use those. I just put bacon on a plate with a peice of paper towel over them and cook them that way. Then I put a half stip of bacon on each popper after they come out of the oven. This is still really easy.
