  • Something Sweet!

Hi everyone! I was just wondering what some of you out there do when you are craving something sweet. I have been drinking a diet coke a couple of times a week, but sometimes that just doesn't work...I'm sure others can relate to this! Thanks for any ideas!

    Try a dill pickle.

Try fat as pork rinds, sometimes works.

But if you still want something sweet, I bought an orange L-carnitine soda (no sugar, no carbs ....) and plain gelatine (no carbs) so I made my own jelly and added a bit of heavy whipped cream.

I have a steaming cup of hot cocoa.

Made with water, heavy cream, splenda, sugarless vanilla extract and coca.

When I want something sweet, it usually means my mouth wants it but my body doesn't. So I just have Orbit sugarfree gum. That plus a couple glasses of H2O and I'm fine.

Not good for induction but I like to take a 1/2 square (1/2 oz) of bakers unsweetened chocolate melted, mix with 1 tbspn of of softened cr. cheese and splenda (i use one but like my chocolate bitter!)makes a good consistency to shape into truffles that you can roll in unsweented cocoa, unsw. coconut or ground almonds. Makes about 3. chill in the fridge. Goes amazing with a nice hot cup of tea. I make about once a month. Has about 4g net carbs depending what you roll them in.

I almost always have some kind of low-carb dessert in the house, but if I don't...hmmm Hot chocolate (made from a mix I make - I posted the recipe on this BB), chocolate whey frosting that I quickly make (great protein snack), plain yogurt sweetened with DaVinci Sugar Free Syrup and sliced almonds, Mock Danish, frozen sliced banana (3 slices) or peanut butter. A tsp of peanut butter and a cup of herbal peach orange tea really works wonders for curbing cravings for me. I can stop at a teaspoon, however, some people cannot, so that would be a problem.
