  • Chipoltes Anyone?

My Mother brought my a gallon ziplock bag full of chipoltes. Besides being way hot, I don't know what to do with them.

Apparently my sis got them when she was in Arizona. I would love to use them, so I'm counting on someone here to help me out.

    Thanks

They shouldn't be VERY hot (not like habernos). Most of the time they are more smoky than heat tasting. I use them or a ground form of them (coffee grinder works well) in making my turkey fajitas. They add a lot of flavor but not a ton of bite.

I had a can of Chipotles en Adobe in the cupboard, I chopped up a couple and added it to about a cup of mayo to make 'chipotel mayo'. It's AMAZING in chicken salad (diced poached chicken, green onions, chopped celery). It's also great on a burger.

        BTW Kent...WOW!!!!

I know I know!!!!...I love chipoltles! if they are separated you can take one out of the freezer and drop it in any dish or stew or whatever you want smoky spicey! they are a great add in to anything even chicken soup gets a deep smokiness from them ....if not I would find a way to break up the package that is a lot of chipoltle to have to use all at one time!!!..but just think smokey spicey and add wherever you want!!! I use them all the time go took greens

OMG, I just made your mayo sauce with the peppers. Talk about delish. Even pork rinds dipped in were good. LOL

            Thanks for the tip.

And Nurselady, I see what you mean about the chipoltes after making that delicious mayo.

            Everyone, thanks!
