  • Lupini Beans

I bought a jar of them today. Cento brand: 30 cals, 0 fat, 3 carbs, 3 fiber, 3 protein for 1/4 cup of beans. I figure they're using the international labeling so 1/4 cup is around 4 net carbs.

Anyhow, I've never had them before. Does anyone know how they taste? I've read some websites on them, and they say I can eat them out of the jar. Are there other ways to prepare them?

of course I do!!! LOL they are very salty but I love them...you take a bean out and then pop it out of the tough outer skin into your mouth ..they are a snack food! enjoy but they are salty!

I tried one last night...not bad. I think I'll add them to salad. Do you think if I soak them in water, that will take some of the saltiness away?

Yeah, I don't think I'll be eating alot of them at one time---probably use them more as a salad topping garnish than as a snack.

          I'll give soaking a try!
