Ok, I don't know where to post asking about substituting an ingredient on a recipe, Walnut Flax Muffins, that I found in a book which calls for soy flour and I want to substitute it with almond flour because I think almond flour has a lot less carbs than soy flour 3.78 to 22 grams ratio. It does contain flax seed meal, too, but I wonder if it will taste okay with walnuts and almond flour. What do you think? and am I in the right forum?
I really want to know because I'm thinking about buying this recipe book "Easy Low-Carb Cooking". It's easy cooking for me than "Linda's Low Carb...". I know there is someone out there that has a lot of experience substituting ingredients in recipes. There is no "perfect" low carb recipe book in the world, and I find some of the recipes in the Atkins Diet book (no offense) outdated and non-organic. I've got the book and have used it (YAWN), and it doesn't have very many up-to-date carb foods information. You gotta admit, it's 6 years old and lot of progress has come a long way using new ingredients for up-to-date recipes.

They even show re-runs about about this guy doing easy low-carb cooking but it's a little behind the times, and it's a good show for those doing OWL. So would anyone know anything about substituting almond flour for soy flour?
