  • Bell Pepper

I can't find nutrition info anywhere. Is it considered "sweet green pepper" or "sweet red pepper"? Thanks for any help.

    Re: Bell Pepper

less ripe bell peppers are green, more ripe ones are red or yellow. So either one would be correct.

Both - sometimes yellow, maybe you can find orange and purple too.

I've checked both sites. When I look for "bell pepper" nothing comes up.

Therefore, you enter keywords pepper, sweet, green ...or pepper, sweet, red (depending on the color) and you can narrow down more specifics, such as raw, boiled, fried, in what, etc.

Green sweet aren't as sweet as red sweet "bell peppers", and cooking affects the measurements and sometimes carb results for a given starting quantity of a food (especially onions).

          Care to look again?

            Re: Bell Pepper

The word "sweet" is where I was confused. I wasn't sure if "sweet green/red pepper" was the same thing as a bell pepper. I guess I should have worded that a little better. Thanks for your help.
