  • Cocoa Powder

Just wondering, We have a cocoa powder that says it has 2 carbs but those carbs are fiber. Can we use the cocoa poder in things ie: shakes and use the it to subtract the carbs from other things we add or would it be considered a 0 carb product? Our Fibersure is similiar. It says that it has 3 carbs, but then underneath it says it has 3 grams dietary fibre and 3 grams soluable fibre. How would I caount this?

    Re: Cocoa Powder

Make sure the cocoa powder has no added sugar---read the ingredients. As for Fibersure....make sure it has no added sugar and the ingredients are Atkins friendly.

For the most part, dietary fiber is the same thing as soluble fiber and insoluble fiber.

Both have no added sugar. The fibersure is made from inulin and the cocoa only has cocoa and sodium carbonate.
