    Soya Powder?

Where do you get this? I am trying to fix a recipe from the atkins site and I found soy flour but not soya powder.

    Thanks

    Re: Soya Powder?

It's probably soy flour. But be aware....soy flour isn't allowed until the legumes rung of the On-Going Weight Loss phase. Additionally, soy flour tastes like soy. So the product will have a beany aftertaste, unless it's really covered up well by flavorings, etc.

      Re: Soya Powder?

I am looking for soya powder.. I actually found it at the local grocery store. Soy Flour and soya powder are two different things.

The reciepe that I am doing was found on atkins.com in the induction 2 week meal plan. It said 3 net carbs per serving. I am guessing it is legal since I found it on atkins website for induction.

        Re: Soya Powder?

They have changed a rules a bit over at the Atkins website. At ADBB where DANDR is "the BOOK" the tune is that if it is not on the allowed list, it is not allowed. So soya powder would fall under that category.
Hadn't heard about the product before. So thanks for posting the information.

          Re: Soya Powder?

Thanks.. While I understand this my hubby is not doing it by the book as he eats no veggies at all except pumpkin and it has to be in a pie! So I have to do what I can to make food for him that he will eat so that he can loose weight.

I posted about this on the introduction BB and have been told all the stuff about then he is not doing atkins. This I completely understand.

Atkins the website and company have turned into a money making machine and become very corporate. Follow the book and you will be healthier leaner and chemical free. Also instead of using soy powder try 100% whey protein it tastes and works better also less carbs!!
