  • Pho Soup

Be careful, I just made a mistake. I figured that if I ordered Pho w/o noodles it would be fine. However, later I called (because I was obsessive) and asked if they mix sugar in the making of the broth: they do.

Thus, regardless of the fact that I obstained from noodles, I ate god knows how many carbs!

Yes, my DH's brother loves Pho Soup. He has it a couple time a week. I think it is a vietnamese dish with noodles and tons of meat.

I love pho, and was planning on having some without noodles in a few days. I'm glad you thought to ask about the sugar!

Based on the recipes I've seen, a bit bowl of the stuff, making 8 servings, uses between 0 to 3 ounces of rock sugar, depending on the recipe. An ounce is about 28 grams, so there could be as much as 10 grams of sugar per bowl!
