    SOUR CREAM

I noticed on the induction page that in the food listed, sour cream was an optional topping for salads. That surprises me- I'd have figured I'd need to save sour cream for the dairy rung. How much sour cream can be used in induction? I have serval things I would like to cook with it.

    The sour cream question...

According to the Induction Acceptable Foods list, sour cream is listed in the Special Category Foods and has a limit of 1 ounce. The Special Category foods have that big disclaimer that these food might interfere with weight loss so beware.

I used sour cream VERY sparingly on Induction like a teaspoon mixed with a teaspoon of horseradish or something like that just to get the flavor....but be careful as Megs says this is a notorious stall food....if you use it use it very sparingly...
