    Cream of Mushroom Soup

Can someone tell me how to deal with cream of mushrom soup? What I mean is, if you find out that a roast or somthing has been cooked in a cream soup do you eat in anyways or find something else? My mom did this and I ate it anyhow, but I was wondering how bad it is since you are just eating meat that was flavored with it.
Also, can someone tell me a way to replace it in a recipe? I don't need to replace it in an exact way as I want to cook with it (like for a roast).

What I do for like the green bean casserole is use a jar of Carb Options alfredo sauce and a can of mushrooms. I have fixed this several times and my BF never knew the difference! I have not tried it to cook meat with it though.
