    Re: atkins bake mix

I've never used it, mostly because I heard such bad info about it, like its taste was nasty. Is it still for sale?
Actually, I think most of his products i've tasted are not even induction friendly, very expensive and taste like cardboard. There are many other better alternatives on the market

      Here's a recipe to make your own. It's a Rung 6 recipe.
      Rung 6- Legumes
      Low Carb Bake Mix

      1 cup soy flour
      2 cups soy protein isolate
      2 tbls. baking soda
      1 tsp. salt
2 tbls. splenda (or allowed sweetner)

Sift all ingrediants together. Store in air-tight container and store in a dark cool place. Makes 3 1/4 cups.
Yields: 3 carbs per 1/2 cup.
Use as you would commercial Atkins baking mix.

I don't eat alot of soy. I bake with flaxmeal and make flaxmeal pancakes. I like it better.

        Re: atkins bake mix

I was never found of the soy products myself. The best I have found is carbquick which is much like bisquick. I try not to use it too often, and is expensive to buy.

Edit: Carbquick is not induction friendly. I think your best bet at this point for induction ingredient substitutions are porkrinds, parmesan cheese, egg whites, and flax.
