I'd hate to say forever, but nothing I can find gives an expiration date on these things. I think I kept my first bag for about three months before I used it with no ill effects!
That was for the regular ones (yam starch based). I don't know if the tofu-based ones are different. I buy fresh tofu noodles at the Asian grocery store here, and they have a sell-by date of a week or so. Note -- I am talking about fresh soy noodles, not soy shirataki -- but since other soy noodles and tofu products typically have an expiration date, you would want to make sure which one you were buying if you weren't planning on using them for awhile.277/180/160ish -- started 7/28/03 --F

HI nurselady long time no see :hug
yep I found them at the asian grocery store but the bag was completely in someother language if it had an expiration date it didn't see one.
I don't think these were the tofu kind but the yam kind.
urplequ: lol
I will have to buy another bag to see if I can figure it out. I had bought some then left them in the fridge for a few weeks and tossed them because I wasnt sure about how long they were good for.

spaghetti squash works great for pad thai.

Tamarind Paste has around 55 grams of sugar per 100 grams.... I figure the density is probably similar to brown sugar, so let's say that you get 200 grams of the stuff to a cup, that brings 1 tablespoon of it to around 7 grams of sugar. Definately not induction friendly, but if you are on the fruits rung that shouldn't hurt spread across a recipe.

Btw, superpages is notorious for outdated listings. Definitely call first.
House foods (the producers of the tofu shiritake noodles) seem to be a fairly small company. You might want to contact their customer service department and see if they sell to any grocers in your area.
HOUSE FOODS AMERICA CORPORATION
7351 Orangewood Ave
Garden Grove, California, USA 92841
Phone: 714.901.4350
Fax: 714.901.4235
You also might want to check your yellow pages for any listing under 'Asian' or 'Oriental' as well.

And don't forget the little jars of friend onions. They are great to toss on top of stuff, or just to snack on. I can't seem to recall the brand, but any store that has lots of thai stuff should have them, the only ingredients are red onions and palm oil.
