Where do you dispose of bacon grease?

I don't have a coffee can. Tupperware containers are too thin. What does everybody store theirs in? Preferably a seal-able container I can toss into the garbage on Tuesdays.

For the past two ceramic bowl-fulls, I've been tossing it into the yard.

I let it harden then scoop it out directly into a garbage bag.

I use a lot of it.
You can harden it in a cheramic container and then transfer it to anything if you like

Remember how cold cream worked for women back in the 60s? Okay, so maybe that's just one bright idea that came to me at my moment of exhaustion. But could you imagine the softness of our skins? We'd all be screaming with delight, "Pork fat rules, baby!"

When my kiddos were small and I baked a lot of cookies, I used to use bacon grease in oatmeal cookies. They loved them! I suppose that's out, huh?

I let it harden in a bowl and then wipe it out into the garbage bag using a paper towel.

Also I often make bacon in the oven. I put a piece of aluminum foil over my cookie sheet and cook the whole pack of bacon at 400 for 20 minutes. Then take it out, drain the bacon on paper towels, and let then pan cool. And then I just crumple up the foil and throw it away. Most of the grease stays in the foil.

Also... save a bit of it for cooking. Best way there is to add some good flavor to fried eggs, fried vegetables, fried meats... you name it.

Bacon grease and green beans....a must have at any meal!
