  • re Konjac Nurselady is a dork!!!!

I KNOW KONJAC!!!! LOLOLOL Korean's love it and it is is tons of forms one very close store that I frequent all the freaking time..in fact my friends I buy it in a block for like a buck and then cube it up and make a kimchee with it!!!!! LOLOL.....they do have the noodles ...(not the tofu ones) here is my favorite way to prepare it

dice a block of yamcake (it is konjack kind of gray and gelatinous) or use the noodles!!!!

then toss in the following let marinate a while and serve cold please use amounts to taste

a couple of tbl of dark sesame oil
a tbl or so of toasted sesame seeds
a tbl of hot chile flakes (the type with out the seeds that you find in Korean markets)
a couple of tbl of soy sauce.....
a tbl of dried seaweed flakes

enjoy!!!!! I can believe I did not put this together

That's great you figured it out Nurselady Definitely keep your eye out for the tofu shiritake noodles. I think those are the best.

Could you ask your Korean friends something for me? What are shiritake/konjac noodles called in Korea? I mentioned shiritake noodles to an American living in Seoul. She said that Koreans don't eat Japanese foods. I've seen the noodles in Korean grocers, though, so I'm sure Koreans use these. The name is probably different, though. I doubt Koreans would eat foods with Japanese names.
