  • Fry Daddy

I dont know if anyone has tried this, but I did it tonight and it was awesome!!! :icondance

In a Fry Daddy (deep fryer) I put naked chicken wings! Nothing on them at all. Let them fry for about 25 mins per batch, took them out and while they were still wet from the oil, I sprinkled garlic salt on them. Let them cool.

    OMG! Totally fabulous!!!

a Fry Daddy is for deep frying foods. Sort of looks like a bucket made of thick metal.

Gah, 25 minutes? and they didn't turn to charcoal? Wow, did you let it hit all the way up to blisteringly hot first?

I have a very similar deep fryer, and a batch of wings (which should only be six or seven at a time) only takes like 5 - 7 minutes.

You want to make sure your oil is very hot first and that you don't overload the fryer so that you don't let the temp drop too much. The trick to deep frying is to keep the temp very high all the time, if you let it dip down, that is when food turns soggy and oily.
