  • Where do soy grits fit in on the rungs?

I happened to be at Krogers just as they marked all the Bob's Red Mill products down...way down! 99 cents each for Ground Flax, wheat bran, and soy grits. Now, how and when should I add them? I'm already using flax but have no idea about the grits??

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hugs,Tammy

lol..I feel like a dunce 2big! Thanks... Guess if I had moved on to OWL, I would be more aware of these things! Of course they are soy beans...
Now, will they keep in the freezer? Do they go rancid like flax does?
Do they taste anything like real grits?....

      Thanks, Tammy

Soy grits are a great texture additive, they are one of the essential ingredients in Najas fake corn bread recipe.

I wish I had a Kroger's near here, I have been looking for them forever, but no one carries them (eventually I will break down and order off of the website).

They can also be prepared that real grits I hear, but the taste is a little different. Heck, add enough cheese and shrimp and you probably won't be able to tell.

Re: Where do soy grits fit in on the rungs?

This is an old thread, but I searched and found it. I just bought these soy grits at the store and was wondering if anyone else has tasted them? Only problem I can see is that it looks like the serving size will need to be pretty small.... but still, for this southern girl, having grits would be a nice occasional treat!

              Any experience/suggestions?
