    what cream is ok to take? im sure i read cream was ok on atkins?

    reason i ask is i went food shopping and most of the cream i picked up was very high in carbs...

    is theyre a certain cream thats low in carbs?

    im sticking to my protein foods,and veg just wanting some more low carb food ideas just for a small change?

    You will find this in Chapter 11 of your copy of DANDR. Under "Beverages" on the Acceptable Foods List it says, "Cream, heavy or light".

    Was it the kind that comes in a pressurized container? You need to buy the fluid kind and whip it yourself... if you want it whipped.

    Heavy cream is listed with 0.42 net carbs per tbsp in the USDA database.

    Sour cream is also allowed as a Special Category food... but I think this is not the cream you are talking about.

      DJB - are you in Australia?

      If so, Pure Cream that you can pour or Whipping Cream (like Anchor UHT Whipping Cream) would be the type of cream referred to in DANDR that is legal for Induction. What types of cream have you been looking at - the thickened cream, or have you been looking at something like Full Cream Milk, which is high in carbs?
