    food dehydrator

    I recieved a food dehydrator for a gift recently. Can you ladies and gents think of anything atkins friendly that would be good in the dehydrator?

          Tomatoes come out great. Try other veggeis, too. And the ever-popular jerky. You can use any ground meat, it doesn't have to be beef. Variety is the spice of Atkins!

            :nono OH NO, not "ground" meat...yuck! Sorry, I've had it made from ground meat and it was sooo nasty!

            Here's a recent thread with pictures on how to make jerky and how to slice the meat.

              I am with Pau mushrooms!!!!! I love dried mushrooms you can use them for all kinds of things even thickening sauces!!!!

                  Hi sweetie pie missed you!!!! well I dehydrate them and grind them up into powder then when I add them to sauces and cook it down until thick!!! you get flavor and thickening very good!!!! :nod

                    My fav is the beef jerky. We always have a container going,,,great for a quick fix! Alot of times it is a real life saver.
