  • Low Carb wrap?

I'm looking for low-carb wraps that are bigger in size.

I found this small fajita style wraps at the store that are made of whole-wheat and have 4 carbs but they are to small to hold almost anything inside.

looking for something bigger so i could use it for lunch.

I assume you're on induction. The wraps that you are refering to aren't allowed on this WOE. Use a lettuce leaves instead.

Agree with Cheryl, if you are on Induction or the early OWL rungs, those low carb tortillas aren't allowed.

However, you can make Induction acceptable wraps. Go to this thread

And look up the Atkins Revolution Rolls recipe. Make a double batch. Butter six 8-inch aluminum cake disposable tins (the kind you buy in the store). Butter the bottoms the lower 1/3 of the sides very well to prevent sticking. Then put 1/6 of the batter into a cake pan and spread it evenly on the bottom. Do the same for the remainder of the batter. Bake them in your oven for about 15-20 minutes. You'll need to check them to make sure they don't burn. Remove from the oven and cool them. As they cool, they will soften up. Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.

These wraps will have about 2 carbs per wrap. You can stuff them with cheese and meat, fold over and grill, for a panini-type sandwich. Just a warning, if you wish to use them for lunch, just put your meat and dry ingredients in it. When you are ready to eat, you can put on your mayo and whatever "wetter" ingredients (like veggies) you want to have---this prevents the wrap from getting soggy while it's waiting for you to have lunch.

Editing to add I've added the wrap variation to the link above.

I use lettuce as well and sometimes I use cabbage leaves. I cook them filled (with meat) and have always tasty rolls!

              Re: Low Carb wrap?

I want to resurrect this thread again.
I'm back after about more than a year away.

Anyone ever eat those Subway Wraps... they are good. I'm looking for a similar wheat wrap that size. I'll buy it online if I have to. The ones in store are too small barely can fill it with anything.

                Re: Low Carb wrap?

The same still applies, for Induction, grain-based wraps are off limits.

For the folks on OWL and beyond, La Tortilla Factory makes low carb tortillas in 2 sizes. The larger one is 5 net carbs, the smaller one is about 3 net carbs. One those rare occasions I use them, I use the smaller ones because the serving size is more 'sane' and there's no way to overeat the fillings you toss in.

                  Re: Low Carb wrap?

You could make these low carb "crepes" just leave out the sweetener and splenda if you want to use them for something non sweet.

I agree, those are the best wraps around, tasty and huge and only 5 net carbs. If anyone ever finds out the brand name of those I would love to know.
