Hmm, I can't seem to find the "General Chat" forum to post this. Did they nix that? Can you tell I haven't been here in awhile?

Anyways, my dad's birthday is coming up, he's the type that has everything but I know he likes to have a beer every now and then so I thought getting him a membership to a beer of the month club might be cute. I don't drink beer so I have no idea what's good. Anyone given/received a gift like this? Any recommendations for good companies?

Oh honey I live just South of you!!!! Try an Asian beer locally the Korean and Japanese beer is so fresh because it moves so fast!!!! for Korean beer a big OB is really nice or for Japanese Kirin or Sopporo is awesome ...there are great Thai beers ..go to Uwajimaya or any local place that sells Asian groceries ...The Ranch Market in Kent or in Tacoma there is a wonderful new SE Asian grocery store.....

you know we have all those microbrews but there is something about the wonderful fresh Asian Lagars that if he loves a good beer I would go that route! The biggest difference in it here in the Seattle area is just how fresh it is...some places you buy Asian beer and it sits and gets skunky ...not where we live!!! because it goes so well with seafood or spicy food ....both we have in great abbundance!!
