You can sautee it with a little oil, then, after it's nice and wilty, top it with a little soy sauce, and sesame oil...

    or

You can deep fry it in oil, and eat it salted. Cut it into pieces, make sure you wipe the leaves dry, and drop it in hot oil, and fish it out of the pot after about 20 seconds.

    or

    this is my fav

remove the stems and chop it up, throw it in a bowl with some sea salt, a chopped tomato, the juice of half a lemon, and half an avocado, and mash it all together with your hands. I mean really mash it and wring it until its really mangled. Then lick your fingers clean and chow down.

    mmmmmmmmm...kale

You can also bake the kale until it's crispy

My fav's are the first two,

sauteed w/ soy and sesame oil, I also like to throw in some toasted sesame seeds in that one.

And the fried til crispy and sprinkled with Old Bay seasoning!

it is tough to digest raw so many raw kale recipes recomend that massaging technique.

You can cook it like collard greens too with a little onion and either a ham hock and some water or chicken stock and simmer until tender.

where I grew up we used to eat this all the time IMHO it is the BEST way to cook kale!!! I love the stuff and grow a raised bed of mixed collards and kale!

              Portuguese Kale soup

              2 lbs fresh kale
              1 large yellow onion
              2 chourico or linguica, sliced
8 cups chicken stock (home made is best but canned or Knorr cubes will be fine)
              1/4 cup Olive Oil
9 fat cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
1 can Cannelloni beans (if you are at that level)
              1 bay leaf
              1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
              1 hot pepper, seeded
              1/3 teaspoon paprika
Season with salt, & pepper to taste

Slice chourico or linguica and saute in 1/4 cup of olive oil, onion, and chopped garlic. Do not allow garlic to brown, so add last. Sausage does not need to cook. Add liquid and simmer for 10 minutes.
Prepare the kale by rinsing thoroughly and tearing the leafy portions from the stems. Tear into bite-size pieces. Discard stems.

Add kale, and simmer additional 30 minutes.

Oooh! Portuguese Kale Soup is definitely delicious!

I have some Kale in the fridge. If I can pick up some linguica, I'm definitely making this this weekend!
