  • CarbCountdown Milk

Earlier last week, we got a shipment of this milk in on our truck. We have the 2% and the Chocolate Milk, I grabbed the chocolate and it was really good, and it's 3 carbs per serving. I think the price we had was 3.25, a bit pricey but if you drink it spairingly and before the expiration date you can make it last. I'm not sure if we are getting any other flavors in, we may hold off until the new store is built.

Has anyone else tried this? If so what do you think of it? My aplogies if this has already been mentioned.

I got it at Fred Meyer's this week and got a half gallon of each to try. I think both were really good, and once in a while for a treat, as it is too pricey for my budget on a regular basis...ok as far as carbs go. Not for induction tho, is it?

I agree that the choc milk taste good. Haven't tried the reg milk. Did anyone notice the expiration date? It has a pretty long shelf life, but once opened its only good for a week. Just thought I would mention that.

hood low carb chocolate milk.............decaf latte's

I was just going to post how i thought the choc. milk was pretty BAD tasting when I read Joan's post about decaf latte's! So I went rite away and make myself one! And I agree with her.......it's wonderful plus I found a way to use up this choc. milk since I don't like the taste of it alone!!
            THANKS JOAN!!

I LOVE the chocolate one! It's thicker than regular milk so it's kind of like a thin milkshake. MMMMMMM.

I tried the regular milk and it was so-so.. tasted like milk mixed with half-half.. which is what it kind of is!

Got the 2% the other night and it was great! That reminds me.. I've got to grab some on the way home.

I made a treat for myself by whipping some heavy whipped cream and then adding a smidge of the chocolate milk and some splenda. Nummy!

I have tried the chocolate milk. Sipping -vs- gulping makes a huge difference. Drinking it really fast made it taste more like real chocolate milk. Sipping it you can taste the artificial sweetener aftertaste.

I've had the white milk and I will say the first time was kind of a shock that something was missing. That was on about day 5 of induction at my parent's house, just had a little taste. My husband decided to bring me some home the other night and I decided to have a glass of it with my morning eggs and it tasted heavenly and I'm in my 4th week of induction.

I love the chocolate! I can drink the regular, but don't like it as much.

Regarding the expiration date and the one week. Somewhere on the carton it tells you why it has a longer shelf life than regular milk, but states that once opened it is only good for one week.

Have tried the chocolate and I like it! It tastes somewhat like chocolate soy milk, so I suppose if you're someone who doesn't like soy then this wouldn't appeal to you...

It's been asked before but there wasn't a reply on it... is this suitable for induction or should we just forgo it til afterwards?

Sorry, no milk on induction, even this low-carb milk.
