Lavender, I guess it depends on where you live. I get it at my local supermarket, in a small town of 6000 in rural upstate NY, so that tells me that it's becoming a standard product to stock (they didn't carry it till a month ago). I was in a Wal-Mart last week and saw it there. Keep checking where you normally shop--they'll have it soon, I bet.

My opinion of the milk is that the regular is great in coffee but not great on its own--I wouldn't like it with cereal, for example, if I were eating cereal--and that the chocolate is vile, LOL. It's way too sweet and tastes like a chemical witches' brew. Both my husband and I loathed it.

                O.K. I found it! :yes

3 hours from my house. It was soooo good. We are property hunting so we have been traveling allot. I found it at Albertsons. $ 3.69 half gallon. Pricey but worth it. I don't eat junk food any more, like cookies or cakes , bags of chips, that sort of thing so I'll pay the price.

The chocolate so far is my Fave. I use true half & half in my coffee or usually cream. We have our own dairy cow, so it seems a bit strange buying milk, even fake milk at that. Oh well, I'll have a little talk with my cow and see if she can make it into lowcarb..LOL!!!!!

The town nearest to me has about 3,000 people. The town I live in has about 600.

And just yesterday, I went to town and low and behold!!! They had it. and now I am moving to another place much smaller and further in ...oh-well, good things must come to an end.

The Chocolate is worth the price. :yes

                Thanks LULU! :wave

Our Walmart Super Center is finally carrying the Carb Countdown Milk. I love the chocolate.

I noticed our commissary is carrying the plain (in the blue carton) now. I wish they would carry the chocolate....maybe it would be cheaper. ensive

The homogenized is the best. It truly tastes like whole milk to me. The chocolate tastes amazing! I wouldn't touch the 2% or anything else. It doesn't make sense to me, the fact that some people actually tried the low-fat or 2%. When you're on a low-carb diet, you don't want to cut down on fat! You can go all out and drink it whole. I never drank whole my entire life until drinking this stuff. I had one sip of real whole milk once, and this stuff tastes almost exactly the same. I suggest that everyone have at least one glass a day, because we (especially women) need calcium in boatloads.
                    Rock the diet.

i read through some of the messages typed in. was on the atkins way of eating LONG time ago and did very well on it. started again the first of this year (2004). started at 162, goal of 130 and am now at 132. my blood pressure was very high and without drugs that is now at normal levels. i have to add that i love the low carb chocolate milk. i've used it in jello no sugar pudding and what a chocolate rush! loved it!

Have to agree that I like this product! I have been buying the whole milk version and making lattes with it. So yummy!!!!!

I went out of town this weekend and took the milk along with me in an old baby's bottle (4 oz) and was happy to have a way to make a more legal coffee while on the road!

Haven't tried any other flavor, but I did find a trick: my superstores local to me get in big shipments all with the same exp. date. I write that date down and then go back on that date and find lots of them marked down to sell that day. Makes it a little easier on the budget.

Have not had any problems with the milk going bad, and I know I have had them opened for longer than a week at a time (as I am not drinking THAT many lattes! HAHAHAHAHAHA).

I really like the chocolate.. I heat it up and add a little heavy whipping cream.. Makes a great hot cocoa..

I also buy the regular kind and use it for cereal.

I was a *huge* milk drinker before "going on Atkins" so this stuff was important for me...

Low Carb "Whole": Tastes remarkably similar to whole milk! Tastes 200% better than real skim milk (blech!) The first thing I thought, "Wow - they did a really good job with this stuff."
2% Chocolate: Tastes like cold hot chocolate :yes Does that make sense? It doesn't taste like Ovaltine, Nestle Quik, Yoohoo, or even the premixed chocolate milk you can buy in the supermarket, it tastes like cold hot chocolate. I like it!

                                PS First post!

I love it when people say, "Yeah, I did Atkins and lost XX pounds, but after I went off of it all the weight came right back." Why don't they just say, "Yeah, I tried eating healthy, but I couldn't hang with it, so I went back to my old ways and packed all that fat back on."
