I agree with your review. It's very good. But I might add, I think it may be(among other things) stalling my weight loss for now!

I've only been eating 2 TBSP/day at most. I really don't know exactly what the problem is- I've also been eating some other Atkins products and the cold weather and snow has brought my walking to almost a total halt. I'm also eating a couple oz of cheese more than the limit. I don't know what is MOST responsible for the slow/stall, but I'm resolving to work on that.

So, I'm resolving to cut out the peanut butter for the most part, for now. I still have a lot of pounds I want to lose. It may not stall many people- it may not even be stalling me.

I won't even comment on the bologna with peanut butter. :water

I notice you are from Michigan, is Bolgna and Peanut Butter a midwestern thing? My father is originally from Illinois and he used to always eat fried bologna and peanut butter sandwiches (the bologna was fried, not the peanut butter).

              Simply Jiff man

I guess I'm just used to Jiff......always have been (I don't mind the additional 1g net effective carb, it's worth it)

I also like the fact that, unlike the greedy corporations that feel the need to jack up the price of their low carb products, Jiff kept the price the same :righton

Now if only Smuckers would come out with a (reasonably) low carb jelly I'd be set.......I'm not that crazy about Fifty/50 (diabetic product) grape spread but it's the only way to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich until better com3es along

Dan check the lable on the Jiff, the one i have in the cubbard says
                7g carb
                2g fiber
                3g sugar
                = 8gm carbs = 2 tbs
                skippy carb options
                5gm carb
                2g fiber
                splenda
                = 3gm net carbs = 2 tbs

are you SURE your looking at a jar of Simply Jif? it should have a white label and the word "Simply" in yellow above the name Jif

                  here's what mine says.....

                  Total Carb 6g
                  Dietary Fiber 2g
                  Sugars 2g
                  ----------
                  6-2=4

so it would be 4g net effective per a 2 tablespoon serving, there's no Splenda in it but it tastes JUST like regular Jif

I'd sacrifice by eating an extra few carbs if it makes a difference in taste.......just like ketchup, I won't TOUCH the Atkins or the Walden farms....I'd rather eat the additional 3-4 carbs contained in normal ketchup and have my hamburger taste good (though it would be NICE if HJ Heinz would get their act together)

I'm not in induction so I'm allowed up to 45 carbs per day and I have yet to eat much more than 35g per day

                    DAN,
To count carbs you must add the sugar as atleast 1 carb each gm
                    so
                    total carbs 6g
                    fiber 2 g
                    = 4 gm carbs
                    add sugar + 2g
                    = 6gm net effective carbs

                      Archer,

That's not accurate. Total carbs already includes sugars, so you don't have to add them back in later.

Dan is correct in his assessment.

I almost bought the carb options skippy, but I thought I'd look at the regular peanut butter & found a jar of Peter Pan Whipped that had the same net 3g carbs per 2 Tbsp & went with that... figured the chances were greater I'd like it plus it was cheaper heh

Had it, tastes great, just like Jif.

Much better than those natural peanut butters that you have to stir up. The Splenda in it is the key, I need sweetness to the peanut butter and that extra Splenda in there does the trick.

The KETO and Steel's jams are good, I have had the 50/50, yuck.
