Why is it every time I go out to eat I like the restaurant's ranch dressing better than my own (and I own about 12 varieties)?

I like a brand called Renee's. It comes in a jar in the refrigerated part of the veggie section of the store. Their ceasar and Greek feta are excellent too. I haven't heard anyone else talk about them, so maybe you can only get it in Canada?Female, 46yrs, 5'3"

I used to eat lite house jalepeno ranch but my store stopped carrying it so now I'm ranchless as all store bottles have soy in them

Restaurant ranch is made from the powder mix (Hidden Valley, which has some no-no ingredients in it)

I found South Beach's Ranch didn't have any sugar in it and was sweetened with Splenda.

most restaurants around here use ken's steakhouse ranch or marzetti's ranch.
Both are excellent and have next to no carbs.
Ken's also has a really good ceasar."I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

I can tell you which ranch I DON'T like - Walden Farms! It's watery and tastes like a diet ranch substitute, I knew it was too good to be true with no carbs, no fat, no nothing in it. I just tried it for the novelty I guess.
I LOVE Ken's Steakhouse Ranch, it's pricey but soo good.Comment

I like Kraft Carbwell Ranch. Claims o carbs and is very good. I think alot of the resteraunts in my area have dill weed added to them for that special kick. It is very good.RE RE Restart 7/2/07

Salad at home in general never tastes as good as a salad from a restaurant. Don't know why...weird.
I like the good ol' Hidden Valley Ranch though..Higgies
