    Actually, this is not completely true. Although it's not something I agree with, Atkin's Nutritionals allows convenience foods that contain sugar alcohols and polydextrose on induction with the stipulation that they 'not be overdone' and that the 'rules of induction' are followed.

    If someone's following the newest version of DANDR, technically, these bars are allowed. They shouldn't be, and I caution people to avoid products like this during induction, but, technically, they're legal.

      We don't follow the latest version of DANDR after the Dr.'s death for those very reasons. Atkins Nutritionals started supporting these alternative foods so they can make a buck, not so you lose weight or eat helathier.
