    Re: Afraid to taste them

Not only do they cause gas, but it is very painful gas! I hate less than one serving of the SF Jelly Belly Beans and I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital! Kinda funny now, but not at the time! But at the very least, I wouldn't eat them unless you will be totally alone for at least 6 hours and plan on getting up several times during the night!

most sugar free choclate candies have reformulated to exclude those bathroom effect SAs now so you might not get your desired effects unless you use somethig like a sorbitol based hard candy one

                OMG malitol... NOOOOOO!

The very word makes me double over in pain...

I remember a horrible incident where I ate some sugar-free reese's before a 90 minute class... unable to pass gas without dire embarrassment, I suffered more painful sensations in my abdomen than I ever thought possible.

Here's a great quickie ToM craving recipe:

                http://users3.ev1.net/%7Efontlady/3_...late_cake.html

It is so good and easy too! I've frosted mine with cream cheese + splenda, and another time with peanut butter, and it's to DIE for. Enjoy!
(I make the almond flour by grinding almonds in a coffee grinder. Fyi, I have a separate one that I use only for nuts.)

                      Re: Afraid to taste them

Thank God you all spared me a horrible fate! After more than half a day's contemplation of eating them as they sat beside me at work, your advice led me to actually trash the bag. And I hate to toss out anything. The cake is a much better idea anyway.

Yeah, try that cake. It's really amazing.

Though, don't be alarmed by the ugliness. It's kinda ugly looking when it comes out! But it tastes WONDERFUL!

                          Re: Afraid to taste them

Funny I can eat all suagr alcohols in moderation without any bad effect except lacatitol 2 peices of SF recese cup minatures with make my belly cramp and rumble and roll. I do find that SF choclates are a gateway drug for me and my mind is more likely to try and incite a riot and make me binge/cheat so I try and stay away!!!!!!!!!!1
